When? Riddle

I live on the third floor in an apartment building.One day I was walking home from work and a man was following me. I went to my floor. I looked out the window and saw the man waling around the apartment. Five minutes later I looked out and saw that he was still walking around. Ten minutes later I saw that he had fallen asleep. He had walked around for exactly 16 minutes 34 seconds. During which lap around the apartment did he fall asleep?
