The Light Riddle

A lady before going to bed read a book for a while. After reading her book she turned out the light and went to bed. When she woke up in the morning she read the paper. In the paper she read about a ship that had sunk and all passengers died. Though she didnt know anyone on the ship she commited suicide that day. Why?
