How On Earth? Riddle

One bright time in the middle of the night two dead boys began to fight. Back-to-back they faced each other pulled out a knife and shot each other. A deaf policeman heard the noise and shot those two dead boys. If you dont believe this story is true....... ask the blind man. He saw it too! How is this possible?
