A Mans Request Riddle

A man enters into a bar/saloon and walks up to the bartender. He whispers a message to the bartender. Then suddenly the bartender pulls out his gun and points it directly at the mans head. The man says Thank you and walks away. So what did the man whisper to the bartender? (Hint: The man had a problem and his problem was solved.)
